Speaking at the forum, Ms. Katarzyna Kacpercryk said Polish companies coming to Vietnam this time aim to seek business partners and investment opportunities in Vietnam.
She also hoped Vietnamese companies will visit and seek business opportunities in Poland, an attractive market and destination of foreign investments in Europe.
Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Le Manh Ha said HCM City always welcomes and makes it easier for foreign firms, including those from Poland, to promote trade and investment in the city.
HCM City also encourages businesses of Vietnam and Poland to increase the exploration of fields in need of development, such as services and information technology, Ha added.
Poland is currently the largest trade partner of Vietnam within central and eastern Europe, while Vietnam is its third biggest partner in Southeast Asia.
Key exports of Vietnam to Poland include textile and garment, seafood, coffee, pepper, plastics and electronic accessories. It mainly imports equipment and machinery, pharmaceutical and dairy products.
