HCMC to strengthen education- training cooperation with Hessen State, Germany - Website Ho Chi Minh City
On September 7, Vice Chairwoman of HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Thu received parliamentary delegation of Hessen State (Germany) led by Head of Hessen Parliamentary delegation Judith Lannert.
At the reception, Mrs. Thu highly appreciated the working visit to HCMC of the Hessen parliamentary delegation to HCMC. She stressed that education-training is one of the bright points of Vietnam-Germany cooperation. Some typical examples for this include Vietnam-Germany University, German International School. Goethe Institute. She thanked Hessen State and other localities of Germany for supporting HCMC to develop high quality human resource, expressing her hope that Hessen parliamentary delegation will introduce some prestigious universities of Hessen State as a reference for HCMC to send its officials and personnel for training, to improve quality of human resource and to foster the friendship relations between Vietnam and Germany.
Thanking the city’s leaders for warm welcome, Mrs. Judith Lannert said the visit of Hessen parliamentary delegation to HCMC also aims to attend the 10th anniversary of Vietnam-Germany University, giving scholarships to excellent students of HCMC, discussing cooperation orientations of education-training between Hessen State and HCMC as well as with other localities of Vietnam.
Highly appreciating the importance of education-training to the development of a country, Mrs. Judith Lannert expressed her delight at witnessing positive results of Vietnam-Germany University -an effective model of education-training cooperation between Hessen State and Vietnamese partners. She also said that Hessen State hopes to discuss long-term cooperation initiatives in term of education-training with HCMC.
