HCMC looking fowards to cooperating with Ireland in agricultural development - Website Ho Chi Minh City
Expressed by Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong in a meeting with Mr. Andrew Doyle, Minister of State for Food, Horticulture and Forestry of The Republic of Ireland – on a visit to HCMC.
In a discussion with Mr. Andrew Doyle, Mr. Phong said the city is located at the hub of rich agricultural material area and an economic locomotive, a scientific and technological center in the region, the city gives priority to hi-tech agricultural development and food processing industry. He expressed his hope that Ireland will push up technology transfer, share experience in food safety and hygiene and quality management with the city.
At the same time, the city’s leaders suggested that Ireland will further promote cooperation and share experience in hi-tech agricultural development, preserve and exploit potential of eco-tourism development.
