Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee receives Estonian Ambassador - Website Ho Chi Minh City
On April 10, Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Le Hoang Quan received Mr. Toomas Lukk, Estonian Ambassador to Vietnam and China one his working visit in Vietnam
At the meeting, Mr. Le Hoang Quan said that people of Vietnam will keep in mind sentiment and assistance of formerly Soviet Union and Estonia today as well as when Estonia was still a federation of Soviet Union for Vietnam in the national liberation war.
Mr. Quan added since Vietnam and The Republic of Estonia established diplomatic ties over 15 years ago, both sides remain good diplomatic and political relations, but co-operation relations in fields of economy, trade, education is not matched with available potential.
The Chairman congratulated the Government of Estonia on establishment of Honorary Consulate General in HCMC, saying that the move showed that Estonia treasures relations with Vietnam in general and HCMC in particular. This move partly strengthen both sides’ relations in many fields.
Mr. Quan committed that HCMC will create favorable conditions for the Honorary Consulate General of The Republic of Estonia’s operations, promoting good relationships between both countries.
