On September 16, Deputy Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Tran Vinh Tuyen together with leaders of relevant departments and agencies received Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association from Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Province, Japan led by General Secretary Sakai Hironori, accompanied by 30 young Japanese businesses.
At the reception, Mr. Tran Vinh Tuyen said HCMC always respects contributions of Vietnam-Japan Friendship Associations in Japan to the development of the city in particular and to Vietnam-Japan relation in general. He expressed his belief that Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association will make more positive contributions to the development of friendship between HCMC and Nishinomiya city.
Mr. Tuyen stressed that HCMC always support exchanging activities on all channels of Friendship Associations because these help strengthen understanding between peoples of both countries as well as promote cooperation relation between both sides.
Mr. Tuyen said HCMC and Hyogo province (Japan) have signed Letter of Intent on friendship and cooperation relation. Governor of Hyogo province will visit Vietnam in 2017 to further discuss specific cooperation programs and to organize economic cooperation promotion conference between Hyogo and HCMC.
For his part, Mr. Sakai Hironori expressed his delight at meeting with leaders of HCMC, saying the delegation of young Japanese businesses visiting HCMC include those who make the first visit to the city, they hope to be provided with information and to study investment cooperation opportunities as well as to seek human resource in the city.
Mr. Tran Vinh Tuyen affirmed that HCMC’s authority pays a special attention to attraction of foreign investment. Therefore, the city always has been making its best to improve investment environment and improve quality of human resource. Through cooperation with Japan, the quality of young and abundant human resource of the city will surely be enhanced.
Mr. Tuyen expressed his hope that the visit will gain specific results in cooperation with Vietnamese businesses.
