Works start on Ong Tranh bridge - Works start on Ong Tranh bridge - Website Ho Chi Minh City
April 27, Urban Transport Management Unit No 2 - HCMC Department of Transport - started construction of Ong Tranh bridge under the project of upgrading Luong Dinh Cua Street, District 2. Vice Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Huu Tin attended the ceremony.
The project is invested by Urban Transport Management Unit No.2, 319 Corporation is the main contractor with investment capital of VND 118. Ong Tranh bridge includes 2 unites (2 parallel bridges), each is 15m wide, 46,2m long with 3 lanes, 73,5m long on each bridge side. The project is expected to be completed in 12 months.
When operated, Ong Tranh bridge will address the circulation of transport from HCMC-Long Thanh-Dau Giay expressway, Mai Chi Tho Boulevard to Thu Thiem new urban area, HCMC center through Thu Thiem 1 and 2 bridges.
Ong Tranh bridge is a part of project of upgrading Luong Dinh Cua street (section from Tran Nao Street to Nguyen Thi Dinh Street), of which 2,3km of new asphalt road will be newly built
