On November 11, HCMC People’s Committee, Central Committee of HCMC Communist Youth Union and HCMC Youth Union organized a welcome ceremony for the 43rd ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Program 2016 (SSAYP 2016).
In a 4 day visit to HCMC (November 11-14), the delegates joined in cultural activities, music performances and other exchange activities with union members and youths of HCMC on role and responsibility of youth related to social issues. Especially, the delegates have experienced cultural beauty of daily living of Vietnamese people in general and HCMC’s citizens in particular through homestay programs.
SSEAYP is a cooperation program between Japanese Government and the governments of 10 Southeast Asian countries to foster friendship and greater understanding among youth from participating countries. The program started since 1974 and Vietnam first joined the program in 1995.
