On November 25, in the framework of Korean Consumption Goods Festival, Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong attended and gave a speech at a formal reception.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong expressed his delight at witnessing the continuously well-developed Vietnam-Korea cooperation relation since both sides established diplomatic relation in 1992. The signing of Vietnam-Korea Free Trade Agreement in 2015 has marked a special milestone of both countries. Mr. Phong emphasized that in the process of building HCMC into an economic-commercial-scientific-technology center of the region, the city’s leaders always creates favorable conditions for foreign investors, including Korean ones to operate in accordance with trade commitments concluded. The city not only opens doors for investors but accompanies and share difficulty with businesses.
He expressed his hope that Vietnam-Korea cooperation relation will further develop in fields of economy, trade, science, education, culture, fine arts, etc. in the coming time.
The Korean Consumption Goods Festival was co-organized by Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) and Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA). The festival attracted 50 Korean enterprises to showcase products like cosmetics, food, household goods, etc. In parallel, some direct trade exchanges between Korean and Vietnamese enterprises were also conducted.
