Vietnam-Japan Festival 2016 attracted 70 enterprises with nearly 100 booths. In the two-day festival, visitors have participated into many attractive events and programs, enjoying traditional and cultural characteristics of Japan with various titles including “Cuisine & Agriculture”, “Culture-Handicraft”, “Fostering Talent – Sports Exchanging”, etc.

In addition, visitors have joined into parades, photograph shooting with Pikachu, karaoke contest; enjoying delicious dishes and specialty dishes of Japan, etc. Vietnam-Japan Music Night taken place in November 19&20 directed by Sugi Ryotaro – Vietnam-Japan Special Friendship Ambassador has become a special music exchange.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong affirmed that the Vietnam-Japan Festival is one of the unique and practical cultural exchanging events. This is an opportunity for Japan and Vietnam to showcase their cultural characteristics and achievements, a chance for both countries’ people to exchange and closely tighten their friendship relation and solidarity. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong expressed his hope that through the festival, people of Japan and Vietnam will better understand about each other’s culture, tighten good relation which has been built and preserved for years.
