Vietnam-Japan Cultural Festival: “holding hands together”

“The 5th Vietnam-Japan Cultural Festival 2018” kicked off in the evening of January 26 on the ocassion of 45 years of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations


The festival took place from January 27 to 28 at September 23 Park. The festival was divided into 02 areas: space for exhibition and stage. The pavillons introduced Japanese products and specialties,  promoted Japanese tourism products, comics, Bon Odori dance, etc.

On January 27, Japanese and Vietnamese singers have performed Japan-Vietnam music show. The event was broadcasted in over 140 countries through NHK World TV.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong said the event has become a focal point for cultural exchange activities between HCMC, Vietnam and other countries around the world as well as connect Vietnam with Japan. The event themed “holding hands together” has become a symbol for warming friendship relations between both countries and presented both countries’ efforts in fostering a more sustainable cooperation relation.
