On April 7, at Hisaya Odori Park, Aichi Prefecture (Japan), the Vietnam Festival 2018 themed “Vietnam Festival in Aichi 2018-HCMC integration and development” opened. A high-profile delegation led by Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee attended the festival. Other participants included Governors of Aichi Prefecture Hideaki Ohmura and of Nagoya City Kawamura Takashi.
At the opening ceremony, Mr. Phong said: “Since signing an MOU on establishment of friendship and cooperation relations in Sep 20116, HCMC and Aichi has implemented many cooperation activities. Today, with enthusiastic support of Mrs. Noriko Hirose –HCMC’s tourism ambassador to Japan, authorities of Aichi Prefecture and Nagoya City, it is an honor for HCMC to organized the Vietnam Festival in Aichi 2018 – HCMC integration and development”.
Mr. Phong expressed his hope that sideline activities of the festival will bring new images and a lively picture of economic-cultural-art-tourism development of Vietnam in general and HCMC in particular to peoples of Aichi Prefecture. It also helps tighten close cooperation relations between authorities and peoples of both sides as well as to further deepen Vietnam-Japan cooperation relations.
