Vietnam Economic-Tourism Co-operation Forum in Czech Republic - Vietnam Economic-Tourism Co-operation Forum in Czech Republic - Website Ho Chi Minh City
On May 11, at Prague, during the state visit by the President of Vietnam to the Czech Republic, Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) incorporated with Federation of Industry and Transport of the Czech Republic, CEB Bank and Eximbanka to hold the forum on economic and tourism cooperation in Prague .
Attending the forum include representatives of Ministries, agencies of Vietnam who are showing their interests in fields that calling for investment in Czech Republic, Slovakia and Eastern Europe. The Forum also attracted participation of 500 investors including 100 from Vietnam, 300 from Czech Republic, 30 from Slovakia and 60 from Poland and Hungary.
President Truong Tan Sang highly appreciated efforts of BIDV and business community in organizing a professional forum that draw attention of various investors in Czech Republic in particular and Eastern and Central European countries in general.
At the forum, many opinion were frankly expressed and exchanged between state regulators of Vietnam, Czech Republic and Slovakia. 3 topics were discussed including investment and development opportunities for Vietnam’s trade, tourism in Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Addressing the Forum, President Milos Zecman affirmed that Czech will continue to promote investment mechanisms to further strengthen the traditional relationship between the Czech Republic and Vietnam which has been established for the past 65 years
In the framework of the forum, under the witness of the President Sang and President Milos Zeman, four memorandums of understanding (MoU) were signed, including one between the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the Federation of Industry and Transport; one between BIDV and the Czech Export Bank (CEB); an agreement to purchase machinery and equipment for Vinh Son Hydropower Project between Vinh Son and Marvel; and a cooperation agreement between Fancon and SKD (Czech) on Haiphong-Lach Huyen railway.
