Vice Chairwoman of HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Hong receives UK Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy

On January 28, Vice Chairwoman of HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Hong received Mr. David Puttnam, UK Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy in Vietnam, Lao, Cambodia and Myanmar on his working trip to Vietnam.

On January 28, Vice Chairwoman of HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Hong received Mr. David Puttnam, UK Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy in Vietnam, Lao, Cambodia and Myanmar on his working trip to Vietnam.

 

At the meeting, Mr. David Puttnam announced the purpose of his working trip that to further promote development co-operation in fields of UK’s strengths including training, science, technology. Mr. David Puttnam said that HCMC is the most active urban city of Vietnam with huge potentials for investors. He expressed his hope to expand co-operation with HCMC in major projects like infrastructure and finance.

 In return, Mrs. Hong thanked for assistance of UK Government and stressed that HCMC always wishes to strengthen friendship relationship, promoting comprehensive co-operation with the UK in all fields.

 In term of training, Mrs. Hong said that HCMC has currently many university and postgraduate collaborative training programs with UK universities. She hoped that the UK will continue provide more programs of doing research and training human resources for HCMC, contributing to improvement of good co-operation relationship of Vietnam and the UK.
