(HCM CITYWEB)- On Sept 10, Vice Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Hua Ngoc Thuan conducted a meeting with Mrs. Gael McDonald, Professor and Headmaster of RMIT University Vietnam.
At the meeting, Mrs. McDonald expressed her deep gratitude to leaders of HCMC for its support for RMIT University Vietnam in the past time. Introduction of RMIT University Vietnam in HCMC, Mrs. McDonald said the strategy of RMIT University in the coming time is attached with 3 key targets: increasing number of international students and local ones, strengthening improvement of quality of teachers and facility, developing individual skills of students. In addition, Mrs. McDonald also emphasized the connectivity program of RMIT University with enterprises to help students grasp practical experience and get employed after graduating. Mrs. McDonald expressed her hope to receive support and co-operation from other universities in Vietnam to improve quality of education in Vietnam.
Mr. Hua Ngoc Thuan highly appreciated efforts of RMIT University in the process of construction-development as well as its achievements in the past time. He said that one of the most important objectives of HCMC in the period of 2015-2020 is to focus on training a high quality human resource and making the connectivity program of RMIT between enterprises and students come in true, supporting students to have practical experience and get employed after graduating.
