In the evening of January 30, Party Committee – People’s Council – People’s Committee – Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee solemnly organized a trational get-together to celebrate the 50th anniversary of General Offensive and Uprising 1968. Attending the get-together included leaders, former leaders of the Party, State, representatives of Southern provinces and cities and international friends.
On behalf of the Standing Committee of HCMC Party Committee, Secretary Nguyen Thien Nhan warmly welcomed and thanked comrades, leaders and international friends for their participation.
“People directly involving in Mau Than General Offensive 1968 are typical examples who devote their blood, asset, love for freedom today. Their sacrifice and effort remind us of hisorical lessons. We must be well-prepared to further promote HCMC a systematic, effective city”, affirmed by Mr. Nhan
Secretary Nhan emphasized that the city will try its best to further develop HCMC, contribute to the common development of the nation to be deserved the people’s expectaion.
