On October 20, Deputy Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Tat Thanh Cang received Mr. Arnaud Guichard, General Director of Total Vietnam.
At the meeting, Mr. Arnaud Guichard said after 20 years of investment in Vietnam, Total always believes in development potential in Vietnam, especially in HCMC. He thanked leaders of HCMC for creating many favorable conditions for Total Vietnam to transfer its capital to acquire Saigon Construction Corporation (SGCC). At the moment, Total Vietnam has handed its license to become 100% foreign owned company and to invest US$ 14 million in HCMC.
Mr. Tat Thanh Cang said it is a policy of HCMC to accompany with enterprises, considering difficulties of enterprises as of HCMC. As requirements of Total Vietnam, Mr. Cang directed relevant departments and agencies to provide detailed information and regulations to enterprises; review documents and procedures to timely solve difficulties of Total Vietnam.
Mr. Cang expressed his hope that Total will maintain good business, ensure production safety and product quality to serve consumers, execute policies and regulations of Vietnam in the process of investment. He added that Total can expand its co-operation in other fields.
