In the last 5 years, HCMC’s entrepreneurs have increased in both of quantity and quality. State owned enterprises were continuously innovated with higher efficiency while foreign invested companies also increased in both quality and quantity. Some entrepreneurs own large-sized enterprises with strong brands and have successfully operated in international market. Some programs like investment encouragement or business-bank connectivity, etc. invested by HCMC’s capital worth thousands of billion VND have generated strength for Vietnamese business community to overcome difficulty and to contribute to the socio-economic development of HCMC and of the whole country.

Permanent Deputy Chairman of HCMC people’s Committee Le Thanh Liem said the city has issued many programs and plans to establish 500,000 enterprises till 2020 with a focus on investment fields of its strengths. The city has also allocated an investment capital of VND 2000 billion for investment encouragement programs, a package of VND 1000 billion for supporting startups and individual business households.

Addressing at the conference, Deputy Secretary of HCMC Party Committee Vo Thi Dung suggested The Party and authorities at all levels to strengthen construction and development an entrepreneur group of the city, to create the most favorable conditions for entrepreneurs to develop and to make more contributions to the development of HCMC and the whole country.
