On April 18, HCMC People’s Committee organized a conference with IT-Telecommunications Community in 2018. Secretary of HCMC Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan chaired and gave a speech at the conference.
Themed “IT-Telecommunications Community joining hands in building smart city”. The conference is an opportunity for IT-Telecommunications businesses to propose solutions to develop smart city.
In his speech, Mr. Nhan emphasized: “traffic congestion & flooding prevent the city from developing smart city. Some local citizens raise this problem with me. In fact, we need smart solutions to solve these problems. The nature of smart city is the possibility of prediction. This process helps predict when the problems occur”.
Secretary Nhan affirmed the importance of building creative urban areas in the East of the city including District 2, 9 and Thu Duc District on an area of 220km2. The is the city’s first smart center. It will help accelerate smart city project with well-developed infrastructure and a symbol of lifestyle and modern living model the same as of other places around the world.
