In the morning of September 5, over 1.6 million pupils from kindergarten to high school levels and over 77, 000 teachers in HCMC officially opened the new school year 2018-2019. This year marks many important milestones before the time of applying new pedagogical programs in schools starting from 2019.


In his opening speech, Secretary of HCMC Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan said the objective of education-training sector is to ensure all students after graduated to meet 04 criteria: good citizen, well-employed with their capability, happy living and making contributions to HCMC, home town and the humanity. Therefore, schools need to create the best conditions for students. The opening ceremony of new school year 2018-2019 attracted participation of 2.700 students.
