Thai Navy Rear Admiral visits HCMC

On May 26, Vice Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Tat Thanh Cang received Thai Navy Rear Admiral Waston Boonneung – Deputy Director of Maritime Enforcement Coordinating Center in the First Naval Area in a visit to HCMC from May 26-31.

At the meeting, Mr. Tat Thanh Cang expressed his delight to receive Mr. Waston Boonneung, saying that Vietnam always considers Thailand as an important strategic partner, especially in field of tourism. Mr. Cang said that there is still huge potential for economic development between Thailand and Vietnam. In the coming time, both countries will further promote co-operation and development in trade, tourism, consumer goods and supporting industries, etc.

Mr. Cang hoped that through this visit, the delegation will further understand Vietnamese people and join hands in building peace and stability in Southeast Asia, contributing to the better friendship between Vietnam and Thailand.

 

 

 

 

In his part, Mr. Waston Boonneung affirmed the co-operation relationship between Vietnam and Thailand has been well developed. In term of navy, both countries have conducted common maritime patrols yearly; Thailand provides scholarships for Vietnam navy to join training courses of Chief of Staff. 

 

 

 

Mr. Waston Boonneung expressed his hoped that HCMC will continue to create favorable conditions for Thai enterprises to exchange experience and to invest in HCMC, making contributions to the stronger friendship relationship between both countries.
