Through 10 years of successful organization, ITE HCMC has been affirming its leading position of HCMC tourism sector in promoting international tourism markets, strengthening tourism development co-operation with 5 countries (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam) as one destination, upholding strengths of tourist products of every country in the Mekong sub-region countries.

Addressing at the ceremony, Deputy Chairwoman of HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Hong affirmed ITE HCMC is an important event and organized professionally, the stature and scale is upgraded and expanded year by year. If ITE HCMC 2007 attracted 3 countries, ITE HCMC 2012 attracted “04 countries-01 destination, ITE HCMC 2013 attracted participation of 5 countries including Cambodia, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos and Vietnam. ITE HCMC can be considered a professional international exhibition, a typical one of the Mekong sub-region

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hong added: “ Inherited and brought into play available advantages, ITE HCMC 2015 held from September 10-12 aims to achieve a 20% growth rate, attracting 200-250 international buyers, 100 buyers from Mekong sub-region, 15 international newspapers and 25.000 visitors. In 2015 HCMC Tourism will continue to develop in the professional and stable direction with peculiar identity and brand, focusing on enhancing service quality, diversifying tourist products. HCMC will continue to closely cooperate with Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vietnam National Administration of Tourism in guiding and accompanying with provinces and cities nationwide. 

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho Anh Tuan highly appreciates drastically guidance of HCMC’s leaders as well as ceaseless efforts of organization board in making  ITE HCMC a national tourism event with international level, making responsible and effective contributions to promotion activities and attraction of foreign tourists to Vietnam.
