To successfully implement the Resolution 35/NQ-HDND dated December 11 2015 of HCMC People’s Council on providing clean water to 100% of households in the city in 2016, HCMC People’s Committee assigned districts like Binh Tan, 12, Cu Chi, Hoc Mon, Binh Chanh, SAWACO and Saigon Water the job of speeding up the progress of plan implementation, ensuring high quality water source for local citizens and reviewing the rate of citizens being able to access to clean water.
Districts like Cu Chi, Hoc Mon, Binh Chanh must complete their plans before November 30 2016 while districts like Binh Tan, 12 must complete before October 30 2016.
Heads of inspection teams must strengthen checking at the spot, comparing construction progress to the plan, directly removing difficulties, upholding the individual and collective roles, ensuring enough clean water for local people, giving periodical reports to Department of Transport.
In term of selecting contractors installing water filtering equipment, Department of Finance coordinates with Departments of Planning and Investment, Transport, People’s Committees of Binh Chanh, Cu Chi and relative organs to ensure implementation process in accordance with current regulations and to complete the plan on schedule.
HCMC Preventive Health Center coordinates with Preventive Health Centers of Districts to regularly inspect and test clean water samples, coordinates with SAWACO and Saigon Water to strengthen water treatment solutions and to ensure quality of water. People’s Committees of Wards and Communes regularly check and report the quality of water to functional organs.

Department of Transport works with HCMC People’s Committee to publicly announce the rate of households accessing to clean water, to propose commendation and reward forms for units and organs with good performance.
Department of Information and Communications coordinates with HCMC Television, Voice of HCMC to propagate policies of the Party and authority of HCMC on providing clean water to local citizens, abiding by regulations on exploitation and usage of water, inspecting water supply process, reducing exploitation of underground water.
