In the afternoon of January 27, a delegation led by Secretary of HCMC Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan returns HCMC after a successful working business trip to Laos and Cambodia. In a talk with media, Mr. Nhan affirmed that Vietnam has a special friendship relation with both Laos and Cambodia. In the last 42 years, the Party, authorities and peoples of HCMC have made efforts in joining hands with the whole country to build special friendship and cooperation relations with Laos and Cambodia.
In line with coordination with provinces and cities, HCMC also shared experience in State management with Laos and Cambodia. At Vientiane capital, for the first time, leaders of HCMC and relevant departments shared experience in urban management, financial managements with 300 officials of Vientiane city. Mr. Nhan said it required to give more support to teachers, upgrade shools. In a visit to Vietnamese school in Laos, the delegation has given financial support, scholarships to local pupils.
In a visit to Kingdom of Cambodia, the delegation has met Secretary of Phnom Penh City Pa Socheatevong, Phnom Penh Governor Khuong Sreng, Deputy Prime Minister Samdech Sar Kheng, Deputy Chairman of ruling Cambodian People’s Party and Senate President Samdech Say Chhum. Cambodia has celebated the 39th anniversary since the fall of brutal regime before the visit.
“We believe that the visit with participation of 10 departments and agencies, permanent deputy Chairman Le Thanh Liem, deputy chairperson of HCMC People’s Council, Secretary of HCMC Coumunist Youth Union, etc. each will put in place specific plans to promote cooperation between HCMC with cities and provinces in Laos and Cambodia, to keep and maintain the well-established friendship relations among Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia”, said Mr. Nhan.
