At the meeting, Mr. Vo Van Thuong expressed his delight at receiving Mr. Sombath Yialiher. Mr. Thuong expressed his belief that under leadership of Xaysomboun Party’s Committee led by Mr. Sombath Yialiher, authority and people of Xaysomboun will continue to gain bigger achievements. He affirmed that HCMC always considers strong co-operation with localities of Laos as an order from the heart, he believed that co-operation relation between HCMC and Xaysomboun has been deeply developed, contributing to the traditional friendship co-operation and relation between Vietnam and Laos.

In his part, Mr. Sombath Yialiher said Xaysomboun province was only established 2 years ago, HCMC was the first locality of Vietnam paying a visit to Xaysomboun. Xaysomboun has a variety of ethnic groups. Although the province has established basic infrastructure, hospitals, schools, etc, but it still faced lots of difficulties. He expressed his hope that enterprises of HCMC strengthen their investment in Xaysomboun, support the province to build hospital, schools in the coming time.
