On November 17, Deputy Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Tat Thanh Cang received a delegation of Southeast Asia Young ship on its 5 day visit to HCMC.
At the meeting, Mr. Cang announced economic, cultural, social development of HCMC, saying that youth generations have important roles and made great contributions to the process of construction and development of HCMC, especially the HCMC Communist Youth Union – an advising unit of the Party, People of HCMC.
Mr. Cang said Southeast Asia Young Ship program is very significant to development of relations between Vietnam and other countries in ASEAN, Japan in many fields, especially the interaction activities between youths.
Mr. Cang expressed his hope that the youths participating into Southeast Asia young ship program will have exciting experience in HCMC – a dynamic, creative and hospitable city that is striving to become a civilized-modern-sentimental city with better quality of life.
According to Mr. Cang, many youths in previous years’ programs maintained close contact together regardless of their new positions, he hoped that the youths of this year’s program will follow this nice tradition.
Mr. Uemura Hideki, head of the 42nd Southeast Asia –Japan young Ship program 2015 thanked HCMC for warm welcome, saying that through the program, the youths from ASEAN countries and Japan will strengthen their understanding of Vietnamese people and the country.
