According to HCMC Department of Transport, till now, 37 projects have been implementing worth VND 212,787 billion.

Of which 8 projects are in the process of exploitation with total investment capital of VND 10,000 billion (Ha Noi Expressway, Phu My Bridge, roads connected to Phu My bridge, Rach Chiec bridge in Ha Noi Expressway, Provincial Road 25B, Binh Trieu 2 bridge and road, Saigon 2 bridge, BOO Thu Duc clean water distribution and treatment system), 8 projects are prepared for construction or under construction with total investment capital of VND 28,000 billion, till end of 2014, VND13,000 billion has been allocated.

 Total accumulated investment capital till end of 2014 for projects using other capital sources is estimated at VND 23,000 billion.

Mr. Pham Quoc Cuong, Deputy Office Manager of Planning and Investment under Department of Transport, said it is necessary to issue support mechanism and policies to call for investment, creating a legal framework for investors. In addition, it is also essential to entrust investors to do research, report, feasibility study to limit risks.
