On November 11, at Quang Trung Software City, Ministry of Information and Communications organized a seminar on investment and development promotion of concentrated Information Technology (IT) Park. Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Thanh Hung, leaders of Department of Information and Technology of localities and representatives of enterprises attended the seminar.
The master plan on concentrated IT development in 2015-2016 and vision to 2025 has been approved by the Prime Minister which said that giving priority to use of resources of State and society to develop concentrated IT parks in 3 key cities including Hanoi, HCMC and Da Nang as well as in some other localities with competitive advantages or with ability to attract capital sources or any locality where large IT projects located.
In the framework of National Target Program in 2016-2020 on development of IT approved by the Government, Ministry of Information and Communications is incorporation with Ministry of Planning and Investment to work out content on implementation of 7 concentrated IT parks in Hanoi, HCMC, Da Nang and other localities. It is expected that the Central Government will give VND 40-60 billion/park at initial time to create a ripple effect that spreads to other social resources to participate into these projects.
