Secretary of HCMC’s Party Committee Le Thanh Hai receives new Indian Consul General

On December 30, Secretary of HCMC’s Party Committee Le Thanh Hai received Mrs. Smita Pant, new Indian Consul General in HCMC when she paid a courtesy call to HCMC on the occasion of beginning her working term.

 

 

At the meeting, Mr. Le Thanh Hai expressed his delight at Vietnam-India good traditional relationship. Leaders of both countries have continuously strengthened Vietnam-India strategic partnership, Vietnam-India economic and investment co-operation are deeply developed. Mr. Hai affirmed that HCMC always creates favorable conditions for Indian investors in fields of energy, education, trade and tourism, etc.

Mrs. Smita Pant expressed her impression at strong development of HCMC in recent years. Mrs. Smita Pant said President of India is very satisfied with his visit to HCMC in recent time. Mrs. Smita Pant sent Indian President’s thanks to leaders and people of HCMC for their warm welcome.

Vietnam-India trade co-operation relationship continues to grow with many memorable events in 2014. Mrs. Smita Pant said many Indian companies are showing their interest in Vietnam in fields of energy, education, Information technology, hotel, tourism, etc. Mrs. Smita Pant expressed her hope that tourism co-operation between both countries will be further developed from the effectiveness of direct flight between India and HCMC. She affirmed that in her term in HCMC, she will continue to promote Vietnam-India co-operation relationship.
