He commented: “Apart from achieved results, the city’s leaders also agree that the process of administrative procedure reform still fails to meet the planned target. It requires a drastical solutions to remove the shortcomings maintained, especially in fields of land, construction, planning, justice, etc.” According to Mr. Nhan, HCMC has launched the program of making breakthroughs in administrative procedure reform in 03 months: November and December 2018 and January 2019. The program requires each cadre and civil servant must devote their practical initiatives or a part of their efforts in administrative reform.

After nearly a month, the program has been well done in some localities including Cu Chi with 160 initiatives collected and Hoc Mon with 87 initiatives contributed.

The whole city has recieved over 800 initiatives and proposals from departments, units and organizations regarding to administrative procedure reform. However, Mr. Nhan said that there is still concerns and issues related to quality of public services that the city needs to drastically and timely address. In 2019, the city will implement the initiative of strengthening administrative procedure reform toward local people’s satisfaction. The initiative also aims to encourage the spirit of creativity of the whole politial system on administrative reform, considering local people’s satisfaction as a top priority.

“Each official, Party’s member, civil servant must give out an initiative and solution depending on their own major to enhance the operation efficiency of the State’s apparatus. Our potential of creativity is very big, the problem is how we uphold and expand it? Creativity must become a driving force of ourselves. All for work efficiency and local people’s satisfaction”, emphasized by Mr. Nhan.
