In his welcome speech, Mr. Nhan said HCMC’s leaders highly appreciate Israeli people’s efforts to overcome challenges and difficulties by spirit of continuous creativity. It is HCMC’s hope to study Israel’s experience in building and operating smart city as well innovatve startup.

The target of building smart city of HCMC is to: create a better economy, improve living quality of local people, better manage and operate the city, allow local people to supervise the construction of smart city.

At the seminar, representatives of Israel’s leading enterprises shared solutions about smart city including solutions related to transport management, water drainage and supply, health and education services, wate purifivation, etc. These solutions have been applied in many countries around the world.

According to Israeli experts, it requires 2-3 years to construct urban infrastructure system but takes 100 years to manage. Therefore, it is very necessary to build a management system of smart city.

If choosing Israeli technology, Israeli experts are willing to come to HCMC to support and to proceed the technology transfer.
