At the meeting, Colonel Le Tan Buu, Director of HCMC Department of Fire-Fighting and Prevention Police had a brief report of fire-fighting and prevention and rescue situations in the city, noting shortcomings and solutions.

Secretary Dinh La Thang highly appreciated the performance of firefighting & prevention and rescue activities of HCMC Department of Fire-Fighting and Prevention Police in such a difficult situation of lacking of equipment and human resource.

To better accomplish the assigned tasks, Mr. Dinh La Thang requested the Party Committee of HCMC Department of Fire-Fighting and Prevention Police to build a strong and clean party committee, to strengthen the efficiency of State’s management on fire-fighting and prevention, of which a focus should be put on perfecting regulations on fire-fighting and prevention, to review all the objects under the city’s management of fire-fighting and prevention, to manage and strictly handle any violation, to enhance capability of fire-fighting and prevention and rescue, to training professional skills and to enhance fire-fighters’ health, arrange prioritized investments to build a professional force of fire-fighters and to strengthen propaganda activities on fire-fighting and prevention.
