At the Reunification Palace (135 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, HCMC), delegations of ministries, departments, trade unions of HCMC and neighboring localities and local people came and paid tribute to President Tran Dai Quang. 

The delegation from Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee – HCMC led by Secretary Nguyen Thien Nhan, together with former leaders of the Party, State and members of Funeral Board paid tribute to President Tran Dai Quang.

After the ceremony, Secretary Nguyen Thien Nhan wrote in the funeral book: “Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee-HCMC and people of HCMC expresses the deepest condolences to the great loss of General Tran Dai Quang, Member of Politburo, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam”.

In the entire process of his career, President Tran Dai Quang has made great contributions to the glorious revolutionary career of the Party and Country. As the President, Mr. Tran Dai Quang has supported the construction of policies to promote rapid and sustainable development for HCMC. When he was a member of XIV National Assembly of HCMC, Mr. Than Dai Quang has spent much of his time on listening to opinions and legitimate aspirations of people in HCMC.

“To respond to the President’s love and trust, HCMC will continue joining hands and making efforts to promote the power of solidarity, upholding every resource, creativity, potential to protect, build and turn HCMC into a modern – civilized- sentimental city to contribute to the construction and protection of the nation”, wrote Secretary Nhan.

The ceremony is followed by other delegations from Central Departments in HCMC, delegates from cities and provinces in the South.
