HCMC People’s Committee has recently assigned Departments and agencies, People’s Committees of District the job of building plans and implementing Decision No 490/QD-TTg dated May 7 2018 of the Prime Minister on approval of the program of “one commune-one product” in the period of 2018-2020.

Accordingly, it is necessary to develop models of production and business (giving priority to development of cooperatives, small and medium-sized enterprises) to manufacture traditional products and services with high competitiveness domestically and internationally, speeding up economic structure transfer, improving incomes for local citizens and effectively carrying out target groups of “economic development and production organizing” under the national criteria on rural development. The facilitation of production in rural areas will contribute to the process of industrialization and modernization of agriculture and rural areas, promoting transfer of labour structure in rural areas and preserving traditional values of localities.
