The Prime Minister is accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Xuan Cuong, Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong and Permanent Deputy Secretary of HCMC Party Committee Tat Thanh Cang.
 
The presence of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc at the noodle-soup shop once again affirmed a special message and a strong determination of the Government regarding to food hygiene and safety – the most pressing issue of people nationwide.


In a visit, the Prime Minister inspected raw materials and processing method of the noodle-soup shop. He also enjoyed noodle-soup and conducted inspection at other catering business shops in the same road. He requested these shops to pay a special attention to processing method, material storage and to ensure food hygiene and safety standards and to say no to stale food that can cause bad impacts on people’s health.

He especially requested local authorities to focus on ensuring food hygiene and safety, considering this as one of the key tasks. Local authorities should step up regular food safety inspections and ensure the full compliance of food hygiene and safety standards.

Earlier, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc conducted an inspection at Tu Anh food processing facility, Group 1, Vinh Loc A commune, Binh Chanh District, HCMC. The shop provides catering services and thousands of meals per day for partners in industrial parks. Despite its reputation or being granted food safety certificate, the Prime Minister made a direct inspection at the shop from washing vegetables, washing dishes, packaging, transporting, food storage, etc.
