(HCM CityWeb)- On July 3, HCMC People’s Committee organized a meeting between the city’s leaders and enterprises to implement the Resolution 35/NQ-CP of the Government on support and development of enterprises till 2020. This is the second meeting in 2016 organized in HCMC.
Attending the meeting included Secretary of HCMC Party Committee Dinh La Thang, Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong, leaders of departments, agencies, districts and representatives of enterprises in HCMC.
HCMC is strengthening solutions for implementing the Resolution 35 of the Government with targets: building a competitive and sustainable business community till 2020, establishing at least 500,000 enterprises. Private sectors contribute at least 60-62% of total social investment. Total factor productivity contributes 36% up; social labor productivity contributes 6, 5% per year. Annually, 30-35% of the city’s enterprises maintain creative and renovation activities.
Representatives of enterprises proposed that the Government and the city should work out support plan on developing material sources; creating favorable conditions for local enterprises to participate into ODA projects; promoting administration reform, reducing time of handling paperwork; supporting enterprises to access to land, infrastructure for production; working out policies of reducing material cost, transportation and storage costs.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Dinh La Thang highly valued the roles of entrepreneurs and enterprises in making HCMC a economic center of the region, saying the implementation of Resolution 35 comes from practical needs of enterprises and for enterprises, they must see the benefits and be more motivated by Resolution 35. Mr. Thang called on enterprises to promote a desire of building prestigious brands.
In the process of implementation of Resolution 35, the city will strengthen devolving power to specific persons with clear time, putting business services as top criteria of State-owned agencies. The city will strengthen administration reforms, application of IT in building common database serving business related activities.
He added that the target of 500,000 enterprises of the city till 2020 is completely suitable through support solutions, increasing a number of start-up businesses, creating transparent and fair business environment.
