In the morning of August 17, at Nguyen Hue Walking Street, HCMC Information and Exhibition Centre kicked off the photo exhibition on the occasion of 130th birthday of President Ton Duc Thang themed: “President Ton Duc Thang – a great man of Vietnam”.
The event displays 270 photos of life and revolutionary career of late President Ton Duc Thang at Nguyen Hue Walking Street, Labour Culture Palace and Dong Khoi Street.
At Nguyen Hue Walking Street, the event displays many photos of Uncle Ton from the strike of Ba Son workers (1912) and soldiers in French warship raising high the red flag to support Russia’s October Revolution (1919) as well as worker’s movement joining hands in national construction and protection.
At the Labour Culture Palace and front of HCMC Department of Culture-Sports, the event themed “President Ton Duc Thang with Vietnamese workers’ movement” displays photos of showing great contributions of Uncle Ton to worker class and Vietnamese workers’ revolutionary movements in the struggle for national liberation and unification.
At the area opposite Chi Lang Park, the event themed: “President Ton Duc Thang – a simply of great national solidarity” displays photos of the great moral example of Uncle Ton who devoted his entire life to the cause of national liberation and unification, solidarity with international friends, for the world’s peace that won the trust of local people and international friends in 5 continents. The exhibition takes place till August 24.
