Over 1,000 foreign guests arrive in HCM City

Over 1,000 foreign passengers, the first callers on New Year day, received warm reception at the Tan Son Nhat international airport in Ho Chi Minh City on January 1.
At the welcome ceremony, they were treated to a performance of traditional folk music, flowers and souvenirs, and best wishes for a New Year from the hosts.
Speaking to the guests, Director of the municipal Department of Tourism Van Thi Bach Tuyet said the ceremony is the first of a series of events to be hosted by the department, the municipal Tourism Association and the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines in 2015.
