Speaking at the opening ceremony, Assoc.Prof. Dr. Vu Dinh Thanh – Headmaster of University of Technology said the conference is a biennial event to sump up and evaluate scientific research and technology transfer; to exchange experience of scientific research and technology transfer between scientists, enterprises and State management agencies.

The conference was hosted from October 29 to November 1, 2015 including 01 plenary session and other sessions for 55 specialized sub-departments with over 930 scientific articles published in the summary record of the conference.     This year’s conference also aims to draw additional attention to key scientific research of the University of Technology and to promote research co-operation between scientists. The organizing board gives a privilege of sustainable energy research to 4 interdisciplinary sub-departments. 27/55 international sub-departments were also much improved, accounting for 50% compared to 30% of previous conference in 2013. In addition, the exhibition of scientific and technology achievements of teachers of University of Technology was organized.

Apart from sharing and exchanging academic knowledge, the conference is also a forum for scientists and experts to discuss scientific and technology problems of Vietnam and of the world such as big data, climate change, connection between university/institute with enterprises, discussion between experts of universities/institutes, enterprises and State management agencies on co-operation and connection between parties to share experience and solutions to improve quality of scientific research and efficiency of technology transfer.
