In the sacred moment of Lunar New Year 2017 (Year of the Rooster), on behalf of leaders of The Party, State, President Tran Dai Quang offered his best wishes to Overseas Vietnamese. President Quang affirmed that Overseas Vietnamese is an inseparable part of the nation; Vietnam always opens its hands to welcome them home. President Quang said Overseas Vietnamese had made precious contributions to common achievements of the whole country in 2016. Overseas Vietnamese, no matter where they live, always focus on educating their children about Vietnamese language and Vietnamese national cultural identities.

President Tran Dai Quang said that it requires ceaseless efforts of the whole country, in 2017, to successfully implement key tasks such as: renewing growth model, improving labor productivity and competitiveness towards quick development and sustainability, ensuring social security and environmental protection, proactively integrating into global economy. “It is expected that 4, 5 Overseas Vietnamese are united as one to bring prosperity, to join hands to make Vietnam a rich and strong country in the international arena”, President Quang added.

President Quang also called experts and intellectuals abroad, those who can be easily accessing to advanced technology and knowledge, to contribute their wisdom and experience to the homeland. He also expected that Vietnamese entrepreneurs and businesses abroad not only return to invest or to do business but also plays the linking bridge for domestic businesses to export products worldwide.

He expressed his belief that every Overseas Vietnamese, no matter where they are, despite difficulties they face, the homeland is still in their hearts. Despite any difference, but with enthusiasm and aspiration, overseas Vietnamese around the world will be united as one to build Vietnam into a prosperous nation.
