Nearly 80 individuals, groups honored contributions in preserving, promoting art of Don Ca Tai Tu

Nearly 80 individuals and groups received certificates of the Prime Minister, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the HCMC People’s Committee for their great contributions in preserving, promoting the art of Don Ca Tai Tu’s music and songs in the southern of Vietnam on October 18.

The individuals were awarded the certificates, including well-known folk artist Ut Ty; People’s Artist Thanh Hai; Elite Artist Ba Tu, Nguyen Van Doi, Van Mon and Hai Phuong; musician Kieu Tan; Dr. Mai My Duyen; composer Nguyen Tan Nhi and cai luong researcher Nguyen The Vien.
At the ceremony, the organizers offered the third class labor medal to folk artist Bach Hue and elite artist Vuy Cho, and recognized cai luong playwright Nguyen Tan Nhi and Nguyen The Vien as folk artists. In addition, the organizers also gave a scholarship for the cai luong youngest talent voice, Nguyen Truong Thanh.
On this occasion, new Don Ca Tai Tu club officially was launched by HCMC Cultural Center.
