At the meeting, both sides expressed their delight at good traditional relationship between Vietnam and Czech Republic, saying that high-profile visits of leaders of both countries in the past time have marked new development milestones, expanded deep and wide co-operation relation in many fields.

Mr. Le Hoang Quan stressed: “Vietnam always respects and is thankful to support and assistance of Government and People of Czech Republic for Vietnam in the struggle for national liberation as well as in the process of construction and protection of the country”.

Beside the good political relations, Mr. Quan said trade relation between Vietnam and Czech Republic is still modest and not matched with both sides’ potential. Mr. Quan expressed his hope that the visit of Mr. Milan Stech will open more co-operation programs for both countries in general and between HCMC and localities of Czech Republic in particular. HCMC will always accompany with businesses of Czech Republic, to create favorable conditions for them to study and seek co-operation opportunities.

Mr. Milan Stech thanked the Party and People of HCMC for their warm welcome; he highly valued the co-operation investment environment of HCMC with lots of potential for foreign investors including investors of Czech Republic. According to Mr. Milan Stech, people of Czech Republic are on high demand for travel and Vietnam is one of attractive destinations in Asia. He hoped Vietnam to open a travel company in Czech Republic to promote Vietnamese tourism sector.

Mr. Milan Stech stressed Czech Republic is ready for sharing and co-operating with HCMC in fields that Czech Republic has strengths such as education, electronics, automobile manufacturing, vocational training and scientific research.
