On November 18, a working group of Ministry of Health led by Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien had a working session with leaders of HCMC People’s Committee on the progress of implementation of key health care projects and Zika virus prevention and control.
At the working session, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Kim Tien requested investors to speed up the progress of construction of Children’s Hospital and HCMC Oncology Hospital – 2nd facility to ensure the schedule and quality of projects.
In the process of implementation, related units must strictly comply with regulations and transparency in bidding process of procuring health equipment. In addition, the city needs to prepare for a high quality human resource to ensure operation efficiency once these hospitals put into operation and to reduce overload of hospital in inner city.
Mrs. Nguyen Thi Kim Tien commented that dengue caused by Zika virus in HCMC is very complicated, she requested HCMC to continue carrying out prevention and control solutions effectively.
