At the meeting, Mr. Richard Rasi briefly introduced about Kosice city – a 900 year old city and the second largest city in Slovakia. Kosice has strengths in industry, IT, sports, the largest steel manufacturing plant of Slovakia is located at Kosice. Mr. Richard Rasi said that health sector in Kosice is strongly developed with highly specialized hospitals for cancer, coronary intervention, saying that Kosice and HCMC and promote co-operation in this field. Hospital systems of Kosice city include 30,000 doctors so the city provides good quality health care. Many international students choose to study at a system of medical and pharmaceutical universities in Kosice city.

According to Mr. Richard Rasi, the fact that Vietnam established the Honorary Consulate General office in Slovakia will further develop both sides’ relationship. He highly appreciated dynamic development of HCMC and hoped to co-operate with HCMC in fields of industry, health, culture, etc.

For his part, Mr. Le Hoang Quan thanked Mr. Richard Rasi for his concern, saying that HCMC will host many big political events in 2015, of which is 65^th anniversary of establishment of Vietnam-Slovakia diplomatic ties.

Mr. Quan noted that people of Vietnam will always keep in mind the assistance and affection of authorities and peoples of Československo in the national liberation war as well as process of construction and development of the country. Many cadres and students trained in Slovakia are holding important leadership positions in Vietnam

Mr. Le Hoang Quan said that HCMC is developing multi-sector economy and focusing on attracting projects of technology, high quality human resource, etc. Mr. Quan hoped that Kosice and HCMC will deepen and widen bilateral co-operation in the coming time.
