Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha highly appreciated big changes and development of Laos led by leadership of Lao People’s revolutionary Party in the past time, saying that the special sentiment, loyalty between Laos and Vietnam are invaluable that leaders and people of both countries have preserved and passed to following generations.

In the intimate atmosphere of Lao Bunpimay holiday, Mr. Southideth Phommalat, Lao Consul General in HCMC introduced about Lao Bunpimay holiday and special characteristics of Laos New Year festival with many rituals such as splash floating water festival, binding thread on participants’ wrists, releasing animals, etc. These activities are very significant for praying rain, bringing vitality for the country, good crops, a lucky, prosperous and happy new year for every family

As a thank to leaders of HCMC, Mr. Southideth Phommalat said that such events will partly promote good relationships between both countries, a foundation for victory and development of peoples of both sides. Mr. Southideth Phommalat affirmed that Laos and Vietnam will always be hand in hand, support and assist each other in revolutionary journeys as well as in protection and construction of the countries.
