Mr. Vo Van Thuong said Lao and Vietnam are neighboring countries, both peoples have long supported each other, staying side by side in the revolutionary path as well as in the process of protection and construction of both countries. He highly valued the achievements of Lao in the process of construction and development of the country, saying that Lao has affirmed its position and prestige in the international arena. He affirmed that HCMC will continue nurturing the solidarity and brotherhood between HCMC and localities of Lao as well as the special friendship relation between Vietnam and Lao built by President Ho Chi Minh and President Kaysone Phomvihan.

On behalf of Laos Consulate General, Mr. Som Xay Sanamoune –Laos Consul General in HCMC – thanked the Party, Government and People of Vietnam for their support for Lao in the struggle for national independence. He expressed his hope that the Vietnam-Lao friendship and solidarity will be more developed.
