| On February 26, Consulate General of The State of Kuwait in HCMC celebrated the 54th anniversary of independence of Kuwait and the 24th anniversary of liberation of the State of Kuwait. Vice Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Le Thanh Liem attended the celebration. |
At the celebration, Mr. Omar Al-Qenaei, Consul General of the State of Kuwait said the State of Kuwait and The Socialist Republic of Vietnam established diplomatic ties in 1976 and the bilateral relations of both countries have continuously developed.
Trade relations between both countries have strongly developed and achieved impressive results. In particular, trade exchange value of both countries reached US$ 691 million in 2014. Especially, export value of Vietnam to Kuwait in 2014 doubled that of 2013.
Mr. Le Thanh Liem affirmed leader of HCMC always creates favorable conditions for investors, especially those from The State of Kuwait. Mr. Liem expressed his belief that with continuous potential and development of both countries, bilateral co-operation between HCMC and The State of Kuwait will reach to a new height.
