In case of tourism safety and security, visitors can dial 1087 for assistance.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Manh Ha said that 1087 is the first product to serve visitors in HCMC; it proves the leading role of HCMC’s IT and communications development. The launch of 1087 will bring more convenience for domestic and international visitors and an opportunity for further promoting development of tourism sector of HCMC. He suggested that HCMC Department of Tourism strengthens co-ordination with Department of Information and Communications continue to upgrade techniques, diversify content of tourism information for visitors when they call 1087.

On behalf of Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications of HCMC, Deputy Director Vo Hoa Binh stressed that 1087 is a convenient telephone communication channel for domestic and international visitors. The switchboard 1087 also supports and encourages consumer demand for tourism in such a potential market like HCMC.
