Japanese festival kicks off in November 2015 in HCMC

On April 8, Vice Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Hua Ngoc Thuan received a delegation of Japan led by Mr. Takebe Tsutomo - special advisor to the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance and head of organizing board of “2015 Japan festival”. The visit aims to exchange ideas on organizing “2015 Japan festival” in HCMC.

At the meeting, Mr. Hua Ngoc Thuan said that Vietnam-Japan are close friends with many similarities, both countries have established strategic partnership. The 2015 Japan Festival is a occasion for tightening solidarity, friendship and cultural exchange between both countries. Mr. Thuan stressed that although HCMC will host many important events in 2015 but will positively support “2015 Japan festival) and make it a success.


Mr. Takebe Tsutomo thanked leaders of HCMC for special concern, saying that this is the third time that Japan Festival is organized in Vietnam, the 2015 Japan festival has a larger scale. Mr. Takebe Tsutomo believed that this year’s festival will become a symbol of solidarity, friendship between peoples of both countries, contributing to consolidation of Vietnam-Japan strategic partnerships.


Also at the meeting, both sides agreed to establish working groups to implement “2015 Japan Festival”, working out specific plans to ensure success for the festival. The 2015 Japan Festival will be hosted in November 2015 in 23/9 Park, HCMC.
