Japanese Book Exhibition launched in HCMC

On May 12, Fahasa co-operated with Japanese Consulate General in HCMC to organize the Japanese Book Week and to launch Japanese Book Exhibition at Fahasa Nguyen Huy Bookstore and Fahasa Tan Dinh.


Japanese Book Week took place from May 12 to 19; more than 2000 book titles were featured at the exhibition with total value of VND 5 billion. This was estimated as the first and the largest Japanese book exhibition in HCMC. 

The exhibition provided opportunities for students in Japanese language faculty to improve their Japanese language skills. In addition, the exhibition also displayed Japanese language books covering a wide range of topics such as literature, culture, research, etc. Some books for children were showcased at the exhibition from comic series such as Doraemeon, Detective Conan, Sailor Moon, 7 dragon ball, masked knight, etc. to hot story books

Addressing at the opening ceremony, Japanese Consul General Nakajima Satoshi stressed that Vietnam-Japan friendship relation has been well-developed; both countries have become important partners of each other in all fields from politic, foreign affair, economy, trade, investment, science, technology, etc. Today, the city has 50,000 Japanese learners, 1,300 Japanese companies doing business in HCMC and neighboring provinces. The first Japanese book exhibition held in HCMC will be an opportunity for strengthening understanding and further tightening friendship and cultural cooperation relation between both countries.

From May 12-19, Fahasa bookstore would give a 10% discount for all Japanese book titles
