Historians evaluated and analysed the Dien Bien Phu campaign to defeat the French at a seminar held in Binh Duong Province on May 6 to mark the 60th anniversary of the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory.
They presented more than 200 papers at the “Dien Bien Phu Victory - The historic problems” seminar held at the University of Thu Dau Mot.
Out of them, 147 were collected and published as a four-volume book.
Within the framework of the seminar, an exhibition featuring documents and photos on the Dien Bien Phu Victory was also held at the university, one of the organisers.
Thousands of students attended the event organised together with the University of Social, Sciences and Humanities, Southern Institute of Social Sciences, and War Remnants Museum in Ho Chi Minh City.
